Widely exhibited Award Winning Artist, Jami Taback is a printmaker living and working in Santa Rosa, California. She studied with Krishna Reddy at NYU and monitored his studio, studied with Ruth Leaf Studio, Douglaston, NY, and worked with Tatyana Grosmann at United Limited Art Editions. The artist is affiliated with California Society of Printmakers as Vice President, is a Studio Printer at North Bay Letterpress Arts, Sebastopol, CA. and is Represented by The Annex Galleries, CA. The artist teaches Solarplate printmaking and photogravure as well as many other printmaking process in and around the Bay area. Jami is the Founding Director of Talk Art, Inc., an art history lecturing service begun in 1972 in NYC continuing for 32 years. Her love of art keeps her curious and current.

Dan Harrison has been an active printmaker for the past twenty years, a CSP member for nine years, a gallery owner for four years, and with time, it once took him three and a half years to complete a print project, showing dedication and observance to detail. Most of his works are highly conceptual with the inclusion of process as part of the art. His ability to adapt to his surroundings resembles a chameleon in nature, and his working style is that of an android. Dan’s art has been exhibited across the U.S., Japan, parts of Europe, and in addition to printmaking he also creates large-scale paintings and sculptures. He has self published two books, and a rat ate one of his paintings.

Originally from the Midwest, Kate Deak graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BFA in Visual Communication and an emphasis in illustration. She later earned her teaching credential at the University of San Diego. Currently, Kate lives and teaches art in San Jose, California and has been an educator for fourteen years. Her monoprints combine mixed media layers with dry-point etching, and chine-colle to create works on paper. Layering techniques she aims to reflect the fleeting beauty of the human and natural trace. She shows her work regularly around the Bay Area and has received grants to advance her practice as an artist and art educator. Her recent work was inspired by an artist residency she was selected to be a part of at the Skópelos Foundation for the Arts in Greece.

Nanette Wylde is an interdisciplinary artist, writer and cultural worker making socially reflective and often language-based works using a variety of hybrid media. Wylde has a BA in Behavioral Science from San José State University. Her MFA is in Interactive Multimedia and Printmaking from Ohio State University. Her artist’s books, prints and electronic works are included in significant international collections. Wylde’s interests include: language, personality, difference, beliefs, systems, ideas, movement, history, identity, perceptions, structures, stories, socialization, definitions, context, memory, experience, the natural world, change, and residue. preneo.org/nwylde

Haoyun Erin Zhao is a multidisciplinary artist based in San Francisco, California who works in the art forms of printmaking, painting, sculpture, and installation. Zhao’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at museums, galleries, art fairs such as de Young Museum, Art Santa Fe Contemporary Art Fair, International Print Center New York, Galerie Kuchling Berlin, Root Division SF, Sanchez Art Center, etc. She is the recent recipient of Edition/Basel Residency (Switzerland), Kala Art Institute Residency (U.S.), Hearts in SF Project (U.S.), Thousand-Island Lake Art Project (China). The artist’s work is in the collections of International Business Machines (IBM), Kaiser Permanente, Guizhou Minzu (Nationalities) University (China), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NYC), Bei Hotel (SF), and numerous private collections.

Ashley Rodriguez Reed works across fine art, craft and design. She uses pattern, drawings, and photography to create screenprinted and digitally printed surfaces. Her art takes the form of site-specific installation, screenprinted and embroidered paintings, and design. Often the imagery is a hybrid world of nature and imagined structural forms with narratives related to growth and transformation. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha with a BFA in Printmaking. After studying printed textile design in Copenhagen, she went on to earn her MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from Tyler School of Art. Ashley has taught at the KANEKO in Omaha, workshops, and Tyler School of Art. She currently works in Oakland, CA. ashleyrodriguezreed.com

Summer Ventis’s work uses the printed surface to address internal and external landscapes and their intersections; the imprints we leave on each other and our surroundings and the imprints that our surroundings leave on us. She received a BA in Art from Grinnell College and an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her work has appeared in national and international exhibitions, and is held by collections including those of the Denver Art Museum and Proyecto ’ace in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a member of the Colorado-based collectives Hyperlink and ARTNAUTS, and of Sacramento-based Axis Gallery. Ventis is Assistant Professor of Printmaking at California State University, Sacramento.

Susan Leone Howe is a Monterey Bay Area artist working in the disciplines of printmaking and painting. Her work is included in international, private and public collections as well as the Fine Art Archives of the Library of Congress. She received her BA from San José State University with an emphasis in Painting and has continued her education in printmaking at California College of Arts and Crafts, Cabrillo College and KALA Institute. Previous careers include Architectural Model Maker, Graphic Designer and Landscape Designer. Her printmaking and painting studio, Two Hat Studio, is located in Aptos, California.

Nikki Thompson is a book artist (aka Deconstructed Artichoke Press) and poet.  With an MFA from the California College of the Arts, her art explores architecture, feminism, and the politics of work through the mixed media of bookmaking, printmaking, and photography. Her work has been awarded First Prize at Gallerie Renee Marie and a Purchase Prize at 23 Sandy Gallery. She has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and received the College Book Arts Association Project Assistance Grant.

Her work can be seen at deconstructedartichokepress.com, on Facebook at DeconstructedArtichokePress, and at Twitter and Instagram @d_artichoke.

Karen Gallagher-Iverson is an Oakland California based printmaker focused on expanding the accepted conventions in traditional printmaking. She curiously investigates her view of the world through image making, materials and processes while feeding a passion for innovation and scholarly exploration. Gallagher-Iverson exhibits nationally, was awarded a Kala Art Institute 2017/18 Parent Artist Award & Residency, and was the 2016 recipient of an International Encaustic Conference Attendee Grant. Her work is in the collections of the Bancroft Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The State University of New York at Albany Art Museum, and other private collections. She has taught in educational programs such as Kala, the Richmond Art Center and the San Francisco Art Institute, where she received her MFA with the department fellowship. In addition to volunteering on community centered public art projects, and holding a position on the California Society of Printmakers Board, Karen has decades of experience as a fine art installer, gallery preparator, studio manager and project assistant for prominent artists and galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area. Karen now focuses the majority of her time in the studio, alongside her young family.

Bob Rocco likes to explore and teach experimental methods in printmaking.  He has degrees in psychology, chemistry, medicine and art and enjoys  problem solving in the visual arts. He is a founding member and president of the Printmakers at the Tannery, a  21-person printmaking co-op in Santa Cruz, and has exhibited throughout the Bay Area. He believes that inspiration and creativity arrive randomly during the process of searching for a way out of the last artistic stalemate.

Rozanne Hermelyn Di Silvestro is a San Francisco Bay Area artist working in printmaking and mixed media. Since she can remember, she has painted, drawn and followed her passion for the arts. Growing up in Los Angeles, Rozanne attended UCLA and Art Center College of Design, receiving a BA in design and BFA in graphic and package design with distinction. She moved to San Francisco to begin her career and after 20 years of a successful design business, Rozanne transitioned to focus full-time on fine art. She has been awarded Best of Show and 1st place in numerous exhibitions, her work is shown nationally and abroad and can be found in the permanent collections of the Harvard Art Museums and the Library of Congress.

A strong believer in the power of shapes and symbols, Marilet Pretorius works as a multidisciplinary designer and artist. Combining years of technical experience with innate intuition, Marilet enjoys accessing a primal visual language in her work. Marilet holds a BFA degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Boston and an AA Professional Designation degree in Product Development from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Her design studies also include two years of Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and one and a half years of Interior Architecture at Boston Architectural College. Her work is held in numerous private and corporate collections. Originally from South Africa, Marilet currently lives and works in California.

Robynn Smith received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from San José State University. Robynn grew up in New York and resides in Santa Cruz, California. She is an internationally exhibiting painter and printmaker, recently retired from fulltime teaching at Monterey Peninsula College. Notable solo exhibitions include Monterey Museum of Art, Triton Museum of Art and Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.

Robynn travels a great deal and has enjoyed many international artist in residence fellowships, most recently L’AiR Arts Paris and Zea Mays Printmaking in Massachusetts.  She is the founder of the annual international event, Print Day in May, and Blue Mouse Studios in Aptos, California.
