I create art aiming to communicate with viewers of the future as well as viewers of today. The works are archivally sound, intended to last over time both aesthetically and materially. Every work that I create has a challenge to myself in it. The challenge may be the size of the art, the materials used, the colors and their combinations, the shapes, symbols, and/or the message that I intend to convey. I hope that you will enjoy viewing these adventures as much as I did in creating them.
I hew my own path. I am told that my work is deceptively simple, which is understandable because it takes some time to see art that is very different from the typical. Another term used is tranquil. This I found confusing as wild landscape is a magnificient, powerful aspect of our existence. Upon reflection, I realize that my ease and delight in the exuberance and beauty of wilderness comes through as a calm mood that gives viewers respite from the frenetic whirlwind of today's life; a view through a different window. |
