| About the Artist: |
My BA is from UCLA and my MA from California State University, Long Beach. Teaching includes City College of San Francisco, the San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, and UC Berkeley. I have appeared nationally on numerous panels about printmaking and community art, and have written articles on technology and the art making experience.
I have appeared in over 200 exhibitions. These include the Computer Museum, Boston, MA, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Arts Electronica, Computerkultur Tage, Linz, Austria, Pixim, Grand Halle de la Villette, Paris, France, Emerging Expression Bienal, Bronx Museum of the Arts, Bronx, NY. Work is included in the collections of the New York City Public Library; the Oakland Museum; the Fine Arts Museums, San Francisco; Clorox Corporation, Oakland; Reader’s Digest Corporate Headquarters; the City of Santa Monica, CA; Galeria Nacional, San José, Costa Rica; Hungarian Multicultural Center, Budapest, Hungary.
My observations are about environment and of the particular nuances of place. Often I begin to work during artist residencies or travels in other parts of the world, which gives me new perspectives. Many of my themes are about objects I pick up on my walks. I continue to embellish, refine, and expand these ideas upon returning to my home. Recently I have been interested in visual representations of the consequences of our behavior and how we are changing the sky and earth.
