“Regional Collective’ is a juried exhibition featuring one of the national historic printmakers collectives that is still a vital force in contemporary printmaking. Printmaking has long been associated with community whether it be a university setting, a local collective, or in this case, regional support. The sharing and appreciation of this graphic form through associations fosters ongoing support for the market, interest, development and appreciation of its historic nature to communicate visually by its broad based multiple original nature. Turner herself received support for her continuing career by membership in the regional organizations she joined and they presently continue to foster new generations of printmakers.
