New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU), formerly The Museums of Los Gatos, founded in 1965, is a public non-profit art and history museum located in the Civic Center Plaza in downtown Los Gatos. NUMU’s mission is to engage community at the intersection of art, history and education through innovative, locally connected and globally relevant exhibitions, programs and experiences. Theme: Thinking Outside the Frame will showcase work that pushes the boundaries of printmaking, including large scale prints, installation, book arts and processes that fall outside of the realm of traditional printmaking.
Restrictions: Large work and installation work is encouraged, but work must fit through gallery doors (45” wide front door, 36” wide back loading bay door) and in gallery space (variable ceiling height up to 8’ high). See the gallery floor plan for details: Gallery Floor Plan
Entries: CSP members are encouraged to enter up to ten works. The exhibition will show a more in-depth look at work by a small group of artists, so multiple submissions are encouraged.
Entries must be submitted using “Submittable” website and must include the following:
- Upload a 5” x 7” image of each work at 300 dpi labeled LastName_FirstName_Title
- A numbered image list that includes the following information for each image in the order and format seen below:

Medium
Dimensions of image in inches (H x W x D)

- Special Display Instructions (optional). Please note if work is sculptural/artist book/unframed.
- Submit a short statement about the work. Your statement may be used in exhibition materials or publicity so PLEASE PROOFREAD IT CAREFULLY.
- Submit a short bio. Your bio may be used in exhibition materials or publicity so PLEASE PROOFREAD IT CAREFULLY.
- You will need to select the way that you will deliver your artwork (see “Delivery Options” below).

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTWORK:
- Both 2-D and 3-D works (including sculpture, installation, and artist books) are acceptable.
- All printmaking media, with the exception of works that are solely digital, are acceptable. Works that combine traditional printmaking techniques with other media are encouraged.
- Year Created: There are no restrictions on the year artwork was completed.

All shipped work must have a pre-paid UPS or FedEx return shipping label included in the box. Work must be shipped in a sturdy, reusable container. Work that does not arrive by the shipping deadline will not be included in the exhibition.Shipped work must arrive by May 1.
