October 22 @ 11:00 am3:00 pm

The CSP has arranged a visit to the Baskin Arts Center at U.C.S.C in Santa Cruz .You will get to see the Contemporary Print Media and Research Center and hear a talk by Professor Jimin Lee, who will also show works by the renowned Chinese woodcut artist, Xiang Silou. He was the first artist in residence for the Print Media Center. His work along with Jimin Lee’s presentation of the formation and goal of the Center will provide CSP members insight into new possibilities in print and collaboration.

This will be followed by a visit to the Printmakers at the Tannery, the largest Co-op print studio in the Monterey Bay area.  The studio is one of 27 art studios in a converted tannery, next to housing for 200 artists.  There will be a light lunch, refreshments, and a discussion of how to start a successful print co-op.
