The California Society of Printmakers is soliciting proposals for the 2019 issue, Printmaking, Politics and Society. We are interested in how printmakers interact with society at large and visually convey political ideas and social themes. We are also interested in your process, including methods and materials.
We would like proposals by print artists such as yourselves and are also seeking recommendations of artists (including their website) who could contribute to this topic. Artists are invited to write their own articles, or we could provide an editor to facilitate. Articles should be 800-1700 words, with accompanying pictures.
Proposals should include
- how your article will address the theme
- outline or short narrative (about a 100 words)
- website showing work or five jpegs
- artist bio with contact information
Deadline for proposals August 28, 2018
