Entry Deadline April 29, 2019
Traditional Techniques: Contemporary Prints
May 16, 2019 – August 15, 2019
Traditional Techniques: Contemporary Prints will reveal the magical process of hand pulled printmaking using traditional techniques such as woodcut, etching, engraving, intaglio, lithography and screenprinting. This exhibit will highlight a cross-section of work by members of the California Society of Printmakers and Taller Arte del Nuevo Amanecer (TANA) who are using these methods to explore contemporary themes and styles. Submissions should briefly discuss (less than 150 words) how the traditional printmaking techniques that the artists use inform and influence their work, and how the artists use traditional printmaking techniques to speak to contemporary ideas and issues.
