As stated in the prospectus, entries were accepted on a first come, first served basis until the exhibition was full. The “First Impressions” call for entry is closed, however entry is now opened for the CSP 106th Annual Exhibition. Eligibility: Open to all CSP members who are current on their dues (last 3 years of membership dues paid. For members who joined in the last 3 years, dues must be paid from the year that they joined – ie someone who joined in 2020 must pay their 2020 dues to be eligible to participate, someone who joined in 2019 must pay their 2019 and 2020 dues, etc). Fee: There is no fee for this exhibition.

Commission: There is a 50% commission on artwork sales (10% to CSP and 40% to Davis Arts Center).
Insurance: Artwork is insured during the exhibition for the amount of the artist’s commission. Artwork is not insured in transit to and from the gallery. Artists wishing to insure their work during shipping must purchase this insurance themselves.

If work is to be hung – please note that work must be framed and hung with a wire. Free- standing work must stand safely and not require putty or any other device. Exceptions may be made on a per-piece basis if agreed upon by both the artist and Davis Arts Center.

Submit a short statement about the work (200 words or less) as it relates to the theme “First Impressions” and the work in this show. Your statement will be printed in the exhibition binder and may be used for publicity so please proofread it carefully.

You will need to select the way that you will deliver your artwork (see “Delivery Options” below).
All entrants will be notified of entry results by email through “submittable”. Please make sure that your Submittable account is set so that you are able to receive email notifications (when you enter your submission, you should receive an automoatically generated email acknowledging receipt of your entry. If you do not receive that email, check your spam folder and your submittable account settings). If you have selected the setting to block email notifications, you will not be able to receive notifications sent to you from CSP.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTWORK:
Both 2-D and 3-D works (including sculpture and artist books) are acceptable.
SIZE LIMIT: There is no size limit for this exhibition. Artists are encouraged to submit large scale, installation and three dimensional work. A wide variety of standard pedestal sizes are available for display of 3D work. Contact Joanna Kidd if you have specific questions about size requirements (ie gallery wall and door height) for your work.
All printmaking media, with the exception of works that are solely digital, are acceptable. Works may combine hand-pulled printmaking techniques with digital printing or other media.
FRAMING: Installation work need not be framed, however installation work must be cleanly, thoughtfully and professionally displayed (please do not send a regular print that you didn’t feel like framing with a couple of magnets as an “installation”). Framed work should be displayed professionally and framed in a wood or metal frame and hung with a wire (No sawtooth hangers). If you have other framing solutions that are thoughtfully and professionally designed for a specific piece, please contact *protected email*.
YEAR CREATED: No limit on date of creation/year artwork was completed
• Because of the large number of children attending classes at Davis Arts Center, sexually explicit or graphically violet works may not be accepted. Davis Arts Center reserves the right to remove artwork. In the unlikely event that a work is removed from the exhibition, the artist will be invited to substitute a different print.
• Ship work to Dixie Laws. Work must arrive before January 4. Do not ship work directly to the gallery. Do not request a signature upon delivery. All shipped work must have a pre-paid UPS or FedEx return shipping label included in the box. Work must be shipped in a sturdy, reusable container. Work that does not arrive by the shipping deadline will not be included in the exhibition.
